Chelsea FC delivered a ruthless performance to crush Port Vale 7-0 and book their place in the FA Cup semi-finals in emphatic fashion.
The Premier League giants wasted no time asserting dominance, scoring within the opening minute and never looking back. By half-time, Chelsea were already 3-0 up, effectively putting the contest beyond reach.
Goals came from across the squad, highlighting their attacking depth and clinical finishing. João Pedro and Cole Palmer were among the standout performers, while second-half strikes ensured the scoreline turned into a rout.
Port Vale, who had enjoyed a remarkable cup run, were overwhelmed by Chelsea’s intensity and struggled to cope with set-pieces and sustained pressure throughout the game.
The second half saw more of the same, with Chelsea adding four more goals, including a late penalty to cap off a dominant evening. The gulf in class between the two sides was evident as the Blues cruised into the final four.
Despite the heavy defeat, Port Vale’s journey to the quarter-finals remains a proud achievement, having defeated higher-division opponents earlier in the competition.
Chelsea now join Manchester City in the semi-finals, as the race to Wembley intensifies.
