Kai Trump, granddaughter of former U.S. President Donald Trump, is set to make her LPGA Tour debut next month — a remarkable leap for the 17-year-old golfer bound for college at the University of Miami.
The high school senior from The Benjamin School in Palm Beach County received a sponsor exemption to play in The Annika, hosted at Pelican Golf Club from November 13–16. The tournament, one of the LPGA Tour’s most competitive events outside the majors, will feature many of the sport’s top names.
“My dream has been to compete with the best in the world on the LPGA Tour,” Kai said in a statement. “This event will be an incredible experience. I look forward to meeting and competing against so many of my heroes and mentors in golf.”
Trump, ranked No. 461 in the American Junior Golf Association’s girls’ standings, has already built an impressive profile beyond the course. With over six million followers across social media, she recently launched an apparel and lifestyle brand focused on empowering young women in sports.
LPGA official Ricki Lasky praised her inclusion: “Sponsor invitations are an important way to spotlight emerging talent. Kai’s broad reach helps introduce golf to new audiences, especially among younger fans.”
The Annika — named after golf legend Annika Sörenstam — will also see the return of WNBA star Caitlin Clark for the event’s pro-am on November 12. Defending champion Nelly Korda headlines the field.
For Kai Trump, it’s more than a debut — it’s a defining first step toward blending influence, ambition, and athletic promise on golf’s biggest stage.
