The Formula 1 2025 World Championship is heading for a thrilling finish, with just five races remaining — starting from the Mexico City Grand Prix (October 24–26) and ending with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix (December 7). The other stops include São Paulo, Las Vegas, and Qatar, which also hosts the final Sprint weekend.
Tight Battle at the Top
After his dominant win at the United States Grand Prix, Max Verstappen has reignited his championship hopes. The Red Bull driver now sits third in the standings with 306 points, just 40 behind leader Oscar Piastri (346) and 26 behind Lando Norris (332).
Piastri has seven wins and 14 podiums this season, while Norris has five wins and 15 podiums — the most by any driver. Verstappen, with five wins and 10 podiums, has momentum on his side after winning three of the last five races.
Points Still Up for Grabs
With 141 points still available from the remaining five Grands Prix and two Sprints, the title fight remains wide open. If Verstappen maintains his winning form and McLaren’s drivers continue to take points off each other, the four-time world champion could yet defend his crown.
Meanwhile, McLaren has already sealed the Constructors’ Championship (678 points), ahead of Mercedes (341) and Ferrari (334).
