Telugu Titans clinched a nail-biting 30-29 win over Gujarat Giants in a Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 clash at the SMS Indoor Stadium on Tuesday.
Hooda and Malik Lead Titans
Bharat Hooda was the star for the Titans with nine points, while Vijay Malik added seven. Their combined effort ensured that the Titans walked away with crucial points, despite a strong challenge from Mohammadreza Shadloui, who was playing his 100th PKL game and delivered a powerful performance as a substitute.
Titans Take Early Control
The Titans struck first through Malik’s opening raid and built a quick 3-0 lead. Gujarat responded with points from Visvanth V and Aryavardhan Navale, but the Titans maintained their advantage. By halftime, they had re-established a two-point cushion at 12-10.
Shadloui Sparks Giants’ Fightback
The Giants came out firing after the break, with Shadloui making an immediate impact. His quick points, along with a strong defensive effort, helped Gujarat inflict an All Out on the Titans and surge ahead 18-14.
Titans Hold Nerve in Final Minutes
Just when Gujarat looked in control, the Titans turned the tide. Bharat’s raid reduced the deficit, and soon an All Out on the Giants put them 24-23 ahead. Malik’s raids added momentum, and despite a late push from Shadloui, the Titans held their nerve in the dying moments to edge past the Giants by a single point.
