Bhubaneswar : The Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) is set to launch its 12th season on August 29, 2025, offering fans a thrilling kabaddi experience across four cities. The 2025 season will feature 12 teams competing for the championship across Vizag, Jaipur, Chennai, and Delhi. The tournament will kick off with an exciting weekend in Vizag at the Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium on Friday, where Telugu Titans will take on Tamil Thalaivas, followed by a match between Bengaluru Bulls and Puneri Paltan. On Saturday, August 30, the Telugu Titans will hit the mat again, this time against UP Yoddhas in the first match of the evening, while U Mumba will go head-to-head with the Gujarat Giants. Additionally, Super Sunday will see Tamil Thalaivas facing U Mumba, as the reigning champions, Haryana Steelers, start their title defense against the Bengal Warriorz, concluding an action-packed first three days of kabaddi.

The return of PKL to Vizag is a thrilling moment for the coastal city after being away for seven years. This stronghold in Andhra Pradesh last experienced the excitement of PKL during season six in 2018, adding to its rich history of hosting the league starting from seasons 1 and 3.

Next, the action moves to Jaipur’s Indoor Hall at SMS Stadium from Friday, September 12, featuring thrilling encounters between two-time champions Jaipur Pink Panthers and Bengaluru Bulls, followed by Tamil Thalaivas going up against Bengal Warriorz. The Pink City holds a significant place in PKL history after hosting the historic 1000th PKL match during the milestone Season 10 in 2023-24. The third stage will commence at Chennai’s SDAT Multipurpose Indoor Stadium on September 29, where UP Yoddhas will compete against Gujarat Giants, and Dabang Delhi K.C. will face Haryana Steelers, featuring a matchup between Naveen Kumar and his previous team.

The league phase of Season 12 will reach its peak at Delhi’s Thyagaraj Sports Complex starting October 13, with the Patna Pirates challenging Haryana Steelers and U Mumba facing UP Yoddhas. To enhance excitement, the league rounds will conclude with triple headers, ensuring fans enjoy continuous kabaddi action leading into the playoff stage. The playoff schedule will be announced at a later time. Commenting on the upcoming season, Mr. Anupam Goswami, Business Head – Mashal & League Commissioner – Pro Kabaddi, stated: “Season 12 signifies an exhilarating new chapter in the development of the Pro Kabaddi League. Through a multi-city format, we aim to deliver elite kabaddi action to fans nationwide and strengthen our ties to essential regions. We are especially delighted to return to Visakhapatnam, reaffirming our dedication to bringing the league closer to its enthusiastic fan base.”
