Monaco, France – India’s Animesh Kujur secured a fourth-place finish in the men’s Under-23 200m event at the Monaco Diamond League on Friday, clocking a time of 20.55 seconds. Kujur, who holds the Indian National Record for men’s 200m (20.32s), recently made headlines by breaking the National Record in the men’s 100m. Earlier this month, he clocked 10.18s to win Heat 2 at the Dromia International Sprint & Relays Meeting in Greece, becoming the first Indian to run sub-10.20s in the event. This performance surpassed the previous National Record of 10.20s set by Gurindervir Singh in March 2025 at the Indian Grand Prix in Bengaluru.
