In a dazzling repeat of last year’s triumph, the Florida Panthers have stormed to their second consecutive Stanley Cup title, thrashing the Edmonton Oilers 5–1 in Game 6 at the Amerant Bank Arena.
The star of the night? Sam Reinhart, who etched his name in NHL history by scoring four stunning goals—a feat not seen in a final since Maurice Richard in 1957. Reinhart got Florida on the scoreboard within just five minutes, setting the tone for a ruthless display. Matthew Tkachuk added another before Reinhart unleashed three more, silencing the Oilers.
Tkachuk later revealed he had played through a torn adductor and hernia, a testament to the sheer grit fueling the Panthers’ run.
With this victory, Florida clinched the series 4-2, becoming back-to-back champions and firmly declaring themselves a modern NHL dynasty. As Tkachuk said:
> “I can’t believe this is what has happened… The culture down here is very, very unique. Hopefully, we can do it again.”
For Edmonton, this marks yet another heartbreak—their last Stanley Cup came way back in 1990.
From underdogs in 2023 to serial winners in 2025, the Panthers’ story is nothing short of
legendary.
