Kane opened the scoring in the 10th minute after converting a cross from Lennart Karl before doubling Bayern’s lead just three minutes later with a superb free-kick. Cologne briefly pulled one back through Said El Mala, who capitalised on a midfield error by Jamal Musiala to beat Manuel Neuer in the 18th minute.
Bayern quickly regained control as Tom Bischof restored the two-goal cushion in the 22nd minute with a powerful strike from distance. Kane then completed his hat-trick in the 69th minute with a stunning long-range finish following an impressive run by Leon Goretzka. Nicolas Jackson added Bayern’s fifth goal late in the match with his first touch after coming off the bench.
The victory ensured Bayern finished the Bundesliga season with 89 points and a record-breaking 122 goals, surpassing the club’s previous scoring record of 101 goals set during the 1971-72 season.
Kane’s hat-trick also took his Bundesliga tally to 36 goals for the season. The striker became the first player in Bundesliga history to finish as the league’s top scorer in each of his first three seasons in Germany.
The match also carried emotional significance for Bayern midfielder Leon Goretzka, who made his final appearance for the club after eight years in Munich. The German international received a standing ovation from supporters before leaving the field late in the game.
Elsewhere, Borussia Dortmund secured second place in the Bundesliga standings, while RB Leipzig and Stuttgart also booked UEFA Champions League spots for next season. Freiburg qualified for the UEFA Conference League after defeating Leipzig on the final day.
Bayern will now shift focus towards the German Cup final against Stuttgart as they chase a domestic double to conclude a remarkable season.
