Diksha Dagar: The Sole Indian to Advance at Women’s Irish Open 2025

County Kildare, Ireland – Diksha Dagar emerged as the sole Indian golfer to make the cut at the KPMG Women’s Irish Open, carding an even-par 73 in the second round. Her consistent performance saw her tied for 56th after two rounds, marking her 11th consecutive cut on the Ladies European Tour.

Dagar’s Resilience and Consistency

The 24-year-old from Jhajjar, who is the highest-ranked Indian on the Ladies European Tour, demonstrated remarkable resilience in her second round. After a challenging start with no pars in her first six holes, Diksha rallied impressively with three consecutive birdies. She continued with a mixed bag of a bogey followed by a birdie on the fifth and sixth holes.

Her round stabilized with seven consecutive pars, showcasing her ability to recover. Despite bogeys on the 14th and 16th, Diksha held her nerve, closing with two pars to ensure she made the cut right on the line. Her consistent form this season includes five Top-10 finishes, highlighted by a runner-up performance in Morocco.

Other Indians Miss the Cut, Amateur Leads

While Diksha progressed, the other three Indian golfers in the field unfortunately missed the cut. Avani Prashanth (74) fell short by just one stroke, and Tvesa Malik (78) and Hitaashee Bakshi (83) were further behind.

At the top of the leaderboard, World No. 1 amateur Lottie Woad fired an impressive round of 67 (-6) to take a dominant three-shot lead at the midway point. The 21-year-old, who opened with a 68 (-5) on the O’Meara Course at Carton House, continues to impress.

The cut for the tournament fell at +2, with a total of 69 players advancing to the weekend rounds.
