Bangladesh batsman Litton Das entered record books by becoming the 5th player from his nation to reach a landmark of 8000 runs in international cricket – Tests, ODIs and T20Is.
He joined the likes of Mushfiqur Raheem, Tamim Iqbal, Shakib Al Hasan and Mahmudullah, as per ESPNcricinfo.
The Bangladesh ace achieved the milestone in Match No. 5 of the Men’s T20 Asia Cup against Sri Lanka at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. The Group B contest saw Litton score 28 runs in his side’s 139/5 in 20 overs.
Apart from becoming the 5th player with 8000 international runs for the Tigers, Litton also became the 2nd player with 2500-plus T20I runs. He needed 4 runs to achieve the milestone. He joined Shakib Al Hasan as the 2nd Bangladesh batsman with 2500-plus runs in T20I cricket.
Litton scores 28 as Bangladesh suffer
