Eddie Howe says he is looking forward to sitting down with Newcastle United owners next week to share his perspective as the club navigates a difficult phase in the season.

Routine meetings with ownership

Howe will meet chairman Yasir Al-Rumayyan and representatives from Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund during their visit to the north east. The meetings at Matfen Hall were scheduled in advance and are part of regular discussions held by the club’s hierarchy.

The manager emphasised that such interactions are normal and provide an important opportunity to communicate directly with decision-makers.

Focus on future plans

Despite growing external scrutiny over his position, Howe remains heavily involved in planning for next season. Talks are expected to include transfer strategy, pre-season arrangements and long-term infrastructure projects.

Newcastle are preparing for a busy summer, with several key players’ futures uncertain and reinforcements likely needed.

Pressure after recent results

A run of eight defeats in 11 Premier League matches has increased pressure on the team. Howe admitted that the club may need to make bigger changes than initially expected in response to their struggles.

He highlighted the importance of maintaining standards and commitment in a high-pressure environment where performances are constantly judged.

Responsibility on manager and players

Howe accepted that scrutiny is part of the job but insisted his focus remains on improving results and building a competitive environment.

The upcoming discussions with the owners are expected to play a key role in shaping Newcastle’s direction heading into next season.
