Champions League Round-up: Jesus inspires Arsenal perfection, Madrid run riot

Milan: UEFA Champions League Matchday 7 featured a packed schedule of fixtures across Europe, delivering goals, surprises and crucial results in the race for the knockout stages.

Arsenal continued their perfect run with an impressive away win over Inter, while Real Madrid made a strong statement with a big victory against Monaco. Bodø/Glimt caused one of the shocks of the night by defeating Manchester City, as Sporting CP edged past Paris in a dramatic finish. Important wins were also recorded by Tottenham, Ajax, Olympiacos and Club Brugge, while Napoli were held to a draw by Copenhagen.

Inter vs Arsenal: Gabriel Jesus brace powers Gunners to perfection

Arsenal underlined their dominance on Tuesday with a 3-1 victory at the San Siro. Gabriel Jesus struck twice in the first half to put the visitors in control, and although Inter threatened briefly through Petar Sučić, a late goal from substitute Viktor Gyökeres sealed the win. The triumph extended Arsenal’s perfect Champions League record to seven wins from seven and guarantees them a top-two finish in the league phase, securing home advantage in the second leg all the way to the semifinals.

Bodø/Glimt vs Manchester City: Norwegian champions stun former winners

Bodø/Glimt registered their first league-phase victory on Tuesday with a famous 3-1 home win. Kasper Høgh scored twice in quick succession before Jens Petter Hauge added a spectacular third. City pulled one back through Rayan Cherki but could not recover after Rodri’s dismissal.

Tottenham vs Borussia Dortmund: Spurs boost top-eight hopes

Tottenham recorded a comfortable 2-0 home win over Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday, with Cristian Romero and Dominic Solanke on target.

Villarreal vs Ajax: Late drama as Ajax snatch victory

Ajax clinched a dramatic 2-1 win away to Villarreal on Tuesday, Oliver Edvardsen scoring the decisive late goal.

Kairat Almaty vs Club Brugge: Belgian side cruise to away win

Club Brugge returned to winning ways on Tuesday with a convincing 4-1 victory in Astana. Goals from Aleksandar Stanković, Hans Vanaken, Romeo Vermant and Brandon Mechele proved too much for Kairat.

Copenhagen vs Napoli: Ten-man hosts earn valuable point
Napoli took the lead through Scott McTominay on Tuesday, but resilient Copenhagen responded when substitute Jordan Larsson followed up a saved penalty to secure a 1-1 draw.

Olympiacos vs Leverkusen: Greeks end long German drought
Olympiacos claimed a 2-0 win in Piraeus on Tuesday, with early goals from Costinha and Mehdi Taremi and an assured display from goalkeeper Kostas Tzolakis.
