The NBA delivered drama, clutch shots, and standout performances on Sunday night. The Phoenix Suns stole the spotlight with a last-second win over the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder, the Detroit Pistons ended a nine-game losing streak, and Giannis Antetokounmpo dominated on the road.
Suns 108, Thunder 105 — Booker’s Buzzer-Beater Lifts Phoenix
The Phoenix Suns pulled off a thrilling comeback to defeat the Oklahoma City Thunder 108-105. Devin Booker hit the go-ahead three-pointer with 0.7 seconds remaining, drilling a long shot over Alex Caruso and shaking off a season-long slump from beyond the arc. Ajay Mitchell missed a corner three at the buzzer that could have tied the game.
Jordan Goodwin shone off the bench with 26 points, including a career-high eight three-pointers, while Dillon Brooks added 22 points and key late baskets. The Suns trailed by 18 in the second quarter but rallied to take a 74-73 lead into the fourth. Booker finished with 24 points.
The Thunder, defending NBA champions and Western Conference leaders, saw their four-game winning streak end. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led Oklahoma City with 25 points, and Jalen Williams added 23, but late mistakes allowed Phoenix to take control. Despite the loss, the Thunder (30-6) remain the team to beat in the West.
Pistons 114, Cavaliers 110 — Detroit Snaps Losing Streak
The Detroit Pistons ended a nine-game skid with a hard-fought win at Cleveland, overcoming the absence of starters Tobias Harris and Jalen Duren, as well as reserve Caris LeVert. Cade Cunningham led the way with 27 points, and Daniss Jenkins added 25, including a franchise-record 21 points in the second quarter for a reserve.
Detroit held on despite a late Cavaliers surge. Cleveland cut a 13-point deficit to 108-106 with 1:16 remaining, but Ausar Thompson scored on a tip-in, and Jenkins made four clutch free throws in the final 5.7 seconds to seal the win. Cunningham was perfect from the line, going 11-for-11, and the Pistons made all 21 free throws.
For Cleveland, Donovan Mitchell scored 30 points, with 23 after halftime. Darius Garland struggled from deep, going 0-for-7 on threes, while Evan Mobley and Sam Merrill each scored 15. The Cavaliers’ three-game winning streak came to an end.

Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Milwaukee Bucks to a commanding road win over Sacramento, scoring 37 points with 11 rebounds on 13-of-17 shooting. Despite Zach LaVine’s return with 20 points, the Kings collapsed in the second quarter, giving Milwaukee a 20-point halftime lead. Kevin Porter Jr. added 25 points and 10 assists, helping the Bucks secure their fifth win in seven games.
Lakers 120, Grizzlies 114 — Luka and LeBron Rally
The Los Angeles Lakers overcame a 16-point deficit to defeat Memphis. Luka Doncic scored 36 points with 9 rebounds and 8 assists, while LeBron James contributed 26 points to help seal the win.
