The Indian Deaf Cricket Association (IDCA) has unveiled the official jersey for its upcoming three-match T20 cricket series in the United Arab Emirates, as the team prepares to face Dubai’s deaf side in Sharjah from December 10–13, 2025. The unveiling ceremony, held on December 8, saw players, IDCA officials and support partners come together to celebrate the moment.
A Proud Moment for the Team
IDCA President Sumit Jain expressed optimism about the team’s readiness and morale. “Our players are well-prepared and excited for the championship,” he said. “They are ready to showcase their skills and compete for the prestigious title.”
For many of the players, donning the new jersey is more than just a formality — it symbolizes renewed hope, commitment and pride as they represent India on an international stage.
Inclusivity and Recognition in Focus
Officials at IDCA emphasised that the upcoming series represents more than just cricket — it is an opportunity to promote inclusivity and recognition for specially-abled athletes. As CEO Roma Balwani noted, the T20 series offers a platform to showcase the talents of deaf cricketers and reinforce cricket’s reach beyond mainstream categories. Aussie Indian News+1

More Than Just a Jersey
Beyond the fabric and colours, the jersey unveiling marks a reaffirmation of IDCA’s ambitions: to provide deaf athletes with international exposure, professional infrastructure, and a stage to perform.
