India launched their FIH Women’s Junior Hockey World Cup 2025 campaign in sensational fashion, registering their biggest-ever win in the tournament’s history with a commanding 13–0 victory over Namibia in a Pool C clash at the City of Santiago, Chile on Monday

Kanika Siwach and Hina Bano emerged as the stars of the match, scoring hat-tricks each. Kanika netted twice through field goals and once off a Penalty Corner, while Hina also claimed three goals. Sakshi Rana added two goals to the tally, with Ishika, Sonam, Binima Dhan, Sakshi Shukla, and Manisha scoring a goal each as India dominated from start to finish.
India’s attacking firepower was backed by exceptional control across the turf, reflected in the 13 Penalty Corners earned, of which five were converted, including three in the third quarter. Defensively, India were rock solid, conceding no Penalty Corners and allowing Namibia just two circle entries.
In the other Pool C encounter, Germany defeated Ireland 7–1, setting up an exciting high-stakes clash between India and Germany on Wednesday. India will play their final Pool match against Ireland on Friday.
