Bhubaneswar: WNBA sensation Caitlin Clark will swap her basketball for golf clubs next month, as she’s officially confirmed to play in The Annika pro-am at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida. The event, scheduled for November 12, will see Clark return to the LPGA stage for the second consecutive year, continuing her growing association with the world of golf.
Clark, who stars for the Indiana Fever in the WNBA, will participate in the celebrity-filled pro-am ahead of The Annika driven by Gainbridge at Pelican—one of the premier stops on the LPGA Tour. The 23-year-old guard’s participation follows her debut in last year’s edition, where she impressed fans with her composure and enthusiasm on the course.
In 2024, Clark played nine holes with world No. 1 Nelly Korda and another nine with golf legend Annika Sörenstam, drawing large crowds and creating a buzz that extended far beyond basketball and golf circles. Her return to the pro-am has been met with similar excitement this year, with organizers anticipating another surge in fan turnout.
Clark’s involvement isn’t just for fun—she is also a brand ambassador for Gainbridge, the title sponsor of the tournament, which underscores her expanding influence beyond the basketball court. The collaboration reflects her growing presence as one of the most marketable and recognizable figures in women’s sports today.
Speaking about her return, Clark expressed her excitement at once again sharing the greens with top golfers and fans. The pro-am will be open to spectators, offering them a rare opportunity to see one of basketball’s brightest stars in a completely different arena.
The Annika, hosted by ten-time major champion Annika Sörenstam, remains one of the LPGA Tour’s standout events, blending elite golf with celebrity participation. And with Caitlin Clark back on the tee, it’s certain to attract as much attention off the fairways as on them.
