Carlos Alcaraz vs Jannik Sinner at Grand Slams: By the numbers

The 2025 US Open is all set to start from August 24 onwards. This is the last of the Grand Slams this year. The focus will be on Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner. Both men’s singles tennis stars have been dominating the circuit in recent seasons and are expected to rule the court for the foreseeable future.

Sinner enters the 2025 US Open as the defending champion. Recently, he bagged the Wimbledon crown, defeating Alcaraz in the final. On the other hand, Alcaraz will want to add to his 2025 French Open crown this year by landing the US Open title in New York.

Let’s have a look at the numbers of Alcaraz vs Sinner at Grand Slams.

Alcaraz at Grand Slams

Since making his debut in 2021, Alcaraz owns a 77-13 win-loss record at Grand Slams. The Spaniard is a five-time Grand Slam winner and a one-time runner-up. He is also a two-time semi-finalist at Slam events.

Sinner at Grand Slams

Since making his debut in 2019, Sinner owns an 81-19 win-loss record at Grand Slams. He recorded his 100th Grand Slam match in the final of 2025 Wimbledon. The Italian is a four-time Grand Slam winner and a one-time runner-up. He is also a two-time semi-finalist at Slam events.

Alcaraz and Sinner at US Open

Alcaraz is 17-3 at the US Open. He won the title here in 2022 and was a semi-finalist in 2023. Last season, he was ousted in the 2nd round. On the other hand, Sinner is 17-5 at the US Open. He won the title here in 2024.

Their Slam performance in 2025

In 2025, Alcaraz reached the quarter-finals at Australian Open. He then prevailed in a 5-set thriller against Sinner to win the Roland Garros title. Alcaraz then failed to defend his title at Wimbledon. His win-loss record this season reads 17-2. On the other hand, Sinner won the season-opening Australian Open. He lost in the final of Roland Garros before winning the Wimbledon. He owns a 20-1 record in Slam events this year.

The two players have met five times in Grand Slam events. Alcaraz leads Sinner 3-2 in these 5 meetings.
