Simon Yates, fresh off his 2025 Giro d’Italia victory, launched a decisive attack on the final climb of the day, demonstrating his formidable climbing prowess. He crossed the finish line first, with Thymen Arensman of Ineos Grenadiers finishing 9 seconds behind in second place. Ben Healy, who had been a driving force in the day-long breakaway, secured a commendable third place, 31 seconds adrift of Yates.3
