Canada : In an astonishing display of endurance and passion for a cause, a historic wrestling match lasted a staggering 21 hours, 49 minutes, and 12 seconds, setting a new unofficial world record for the longest wrestling match ever contested. Held in Gatineau, Quebec, this grueling contest featured 16 wrestlers in an elimination format known as a Cibernetico match. The event was not just about pushing physical limits but was primarily organized to raise funds for the Canadian Cancer Society, successfully amassing about Rs 32 lakh (over CAD 31,000) for cancer research and patient support.
The marathon bout ended with former AEW star Stu Grayson claiming victory after pinning Junior Benito with his signature move “Nightfall.” The match surpassed the previous longest officially recognized record of 21 hours, 44 minutes, and 34 seconds held by Ehime Pro Wrestling in Japan. Despite the incredible feat, the achievement will not be officially recognized by Guinness World Records due to a costly verification fee that the organizers opted not to pay.
Besides Grayson and Benito, the match featured a star-studded lineup, including Dante Dubois, Gabriel Floyd, Katrina Creed, and several others, all contributing to an epic wrestling saga filled with resilience, strategy, and camaraderie.
