Abhay Singh Settles For Silver In Asian Games Squash

India’s Abhay Singh clinched the silver medal in the men’s singles squash competition at the Asian Games in Nagoya on Sunday after losing to Malaysia’s Eain Yow Ng in the final.

Ranked 26th in the world, Abhay struggled to challenge the world No. 18 Malaysian, who successfully defended his gold medal with an 11-9, 11-5, 11-5 victory.

The defeat marked Abhay’s eighth loss to Yow.

Meanwhile, Anahat Singh is set to compete in the women’s singles final later on Sunday against Malaysia’s Sivasangari Subramaniam. Anahat became the first Indian to reach the women’s singles final after a remarkable comeback victory over Japan’s Satomi Watanabe.

India still have a chance to add another squash medal, with Anahat Singh set to play the women’s singles final later on Sunday.

Anahat became the first Indian to reach the women’s singles final at the Asian Games after producing an impressive comeback victory over Japan’s Satomi Watanabe.

She will face Malaysia’s Sivasangari Subramaniam in the title clash.
