The Asian Games 2026 India Medal Winners list has grown dramatically since India’s first gold in women’s cricket. As of October 1, India has collected 64 medals — 10 gold, 22 silver and 32 bronze at the Aichi-Nagoya Games, according to the latest medal table. India has won medals across 17 sports, with athletics, shooting, archery and squash among the biggest contributors.

The campaign began with the women’s cricket team’s gold. Harmanpreet Kaur’s India defeated Sri Lanka by 147 runs, scoring 216/3 before bowling Sri Lanka out for 69. Smriti Mandhana scored 79, Shafali Verma 48 and Richa Ghosh 49 not out, giving India its first title of the Games.

Shooting has been one of India’s strongest medal-producing sports, with the latest table showing 15 medals — three gold, eight silver and four bronze.

The early medalists included Elavenil Valarivan, Sonam Maskar and Vidarsa Vinod in women’s 10m air rifle team, while Elavenil also won individual silver. Rudrankksh Patil, Himanshu Dhillon and Parth Mane claimed men’s 10m air rifle team silver, with Himanshu adding individual silver and Rudrankksh taking bronze.

India’s shooting haul has since expanded through pistol, rifle and shotgun events, with names such as Suruchi Singh, Kamaljeet, Niraj Kumar and Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar joining the medal-winning list. The sport currently accounts for the largest number of Indian medals.

India’s medal campaign received another major boost when both men’s and women’s kabaddi teams won gold, completing a historic golden double. The men defeated Iran 39-28 in the final, while the women beat Chinese Taipei 45-34.

Athletics has also transformed the medal tally. Gulveer Singh, Sawan Barwal, Tejaswin Shankar, Seema Kumari and several other Indian athletes have contributed medals, helping athletics become India’s largest overall medal-producing sport in the latest table with 24 medals — one gold, nine silver and 14 bronze.

Asian Games 2026 India Medal Winners: New Milestones Across Sports

India’s success has not been restricted to its traditional strengths. Anahat Singh and Abhay Singh won squash singles silver, while India added medals through mixed doubles and team events.

Wrestling has also produced a historic moment, with Nitesh Siwach winning silver in Greco-Roman wrestling, giving India its first Asian Games medal in the discipline in 64 years.

India has additionally won medals in badminton, boxing, kurash, MMA, rowing, soft tennis, table tennis, weightlifting and wushu, underlining how widely the medal campaign has spread. The latest medal table lists India with medals in 17 sports.

India’s Asian Games Medal Story Heads Towards the Finish

The Aichi-Nagoya campaign is not over yet. The Games continue until October 4, leaving India with further opportunities in wrestling, hockey, shooting, cricket, archery and other disciplines.

India’s record Asian Games performance remains Hangzhou 2023, where the contingent won 107 medals, including 28 gold. The 2026 campaign has already produced another wide-ranging medal haul, with established champions and new names contributing across the board.

From the cricket field and kabaddi mat to the shooting range, athletics track and wrestling arena, India’s Aichi-Nagoya story has become a campaign built on depth — and the final chapter is still being written.
