Arsenal strengthened their grip on the Premier League title race after a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Burnley at the Emirates Stadium.
The breakthrough came just before halftime when Kai Havertz headed home from a corner delivered by Bukayo Saka, giving Arsenal a crucial advantage in a tense encounter.
The victory pushed Arsenal five points clear at the top of the Premier League standings with only one match remaining. However, reigning champions Manchester City still have a game in hand, meaning the title race is not over yet.
Despite dominating possession for long periods, Arsenal struggled to create clear-cut opportunities and were forced to defend resolutely during the closing stages. Burnley, already relegated, produced a spirited performance and nearly frustrated Mikel Arteta’s side.
A major talking point came when Havertz escaped a red card following a VAR review for a challenge on Burnley midfielder Lesley Ugochukwu. Arsenal ultimately survived the tense moments to secure a fourth consecutive clean sheet in the league.
Manager Mikel Arteta praised his team’s composure under pressure as Arsenal moved one step closer to their first Premier League title in more than two decades.
