New Zealand And Sri Lanka Stars Rise In Latest ICC Rankings Update

Strong Performances Lead To Rankings Gains Ahead Of Major Tournaments
Several players from New Zealand and Sri Lanka have made significant progress in the latest International Cricket Council (ICC) rankings update following impressive performances in recent international matches. The rankings movement comes at an important time as teams prepare for upcoming global tournaments.
New Zealand Players Rewarded After ODI Series Success
A number of New Zealand players earned notable improvements in the ICC Women’s ODI Player Rankings after their strong showing in the ODI series against Zimbabwe. Their performances helped the team maintain momentum and resulted in several players moving up the rankings ladder.
The latest update reflects the consistent form displayed by New Zealand’s white-ball players, with their contributions in both batting and bowling being recognised in the global standings.
Sri Lanka Stars Climb T20I Rankings
Sri Lanka’s women cricketers also enjoyed a rise in the T20I rankings after securing a series victory over the West Indies. Opener Hasini Perera recorded one of the biggest jumps, climbing 15 places to reach 28th in the T20I batting rankings after scoring an unbeaten half-century in the decisive match of the series.
Young batter Imesha Dulani also made significant progress, moving up 17 positions to joint 72nd after her unbeaten 34 in the same game.
All-Round Contributions Boost Sri Lanka’s Standings
All-rounder Kavisha Dilhari also enjoyed gains across multiple categories. She climbed three places to 21st in the T20I bowling rankings and improved to 11th position among T20I all-rounders.
With less than three months remaining before the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, the rise of Sri Lankan players in the rankings provides a timely confidence boost as the team builds momentum on the international stage.
Positive Signs For Both Teams Ahead Of Global Events
The latest rankings update highlights the growing impact of players from both New Zealand and Sri Lanka. Their improved positions underline strong recent performances and signal positive momentum as teams continue preparations for upcoming international competitions.
