Odisha Masters 2025: Unnati Hooda and Kiran George Crowned Singles Champions

The Odisha Masters 2025 International Badminton Tournament concluded in grand fashion at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium, Cuttack, with India’s Unnati Hooda and Kiran George emerging as the women’s and men’s singles champions respectively.

The six-day international tournament, which began on December 9, witnessed high-quality badminton across all five categories—men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles. Finals in all categories were played on Sunday, followed by the prize distribution ceremony.

Men’s Singles

India’s Kiran George clinched the men’s singles title after a hard-fought three-game victory over Indonesia’s Mohammad Yusuf. Kiran won the final 21-14, 13-21, 21-16, showcasing resilience and tactical brilliance to seal the championship.

Unnati Hooda lived up to expectations, defeating fellow Indian Isharani Baruah in straight games 21-17, 21-10

Women’s Singles

Top seed Unnati Hooda lived up to expectations, defeating fellow Indian Isharani Baruah in straight games 21-17, 21-10 to lift the women’s singles trophy, while Baruah finished as the runner-up.

The Indonesian pair of Marwan Faza and Asyah Purti Pranata claimed the mixed doubles crown with a commanding 21-15, 21-10 win over compatriots D. Ferdinensi and B. Wardana.

In the women’s doubles final, top-seeded Bulgarian sisters Gabriela Stoeva and Stefanie Stoeva defeated Malaysia’s Ang Jing Yi and Carmen Ting 21-19, 21-14 to take the title.

Men’s Doubles

Indonesia’s Ali Rehan and Devin Artha Wahudi staged a strong comeback to beat the Malaysian duo Kong Khai Jing and Aaron Tai 15-21, 21-12, 21-16, clinching the men’s doubles championship.

The successful conclusion of Odisha Masters 2025 once again highlighted Odisha’s growing stature as a major hub for international badminton and global sporting events in India.
