India End Asian Weightlifting Championships 2026 With 10 Medals

Despite missing out on medals on the final day, the Indian contingent delivered an impressive overall performance at the continental event.

India wrapped up its campaign at the Asian Weightlifting Championships 2026 with a total haul of 10 medals, capping off another encouraging performance on the international stage.

Although Indian lifters failed to add to the tally on the final day of competition, the team’s earlier performances ensured a successful outing overall. Several athletes impressed with strong lifts and podium finishes across different categories.

The championship once again highlighted India’s growing depth in weightlifting, with both experienced campaigners and young talents stepping up against some of Asia’s best competitors.

Officials and coaches expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance, especially considering the level of competition at the continental event.
