Jannik Sinner scripted another remarkable chapter in tennis history after registering his 32nd consecutive ATP Masters 1000 victory at the Italian Open.
The world No. 1 defeated Russia’s Andrey Rublev in straight sets to book his place in the semifinals, surpassing the previous record of 31 straight Masters 1000 wins held by Novak Djokovic.
Rome Crowd Witnesses Historic Moment
Playing in front of passionate home fans in Rome, Sinner looked calm and in complete control throughout the contest. The Italian broke Rublev early and never allowed the match to drift away from him.
The victory extended an extraordinary run that has seen Sinner dominate ATP Masters events since late 2025. He has already captured titles in Paris, Indian Wells, Miami, Monte-Carlo and Madrid during this stunning streak.
Chasing More Tennis Milestones
Sinner’s latest achievement further strengthened his growing reputation as the leading force in men’s tennis. The 24-year-old is now aiming to win the Italian Open title — the only ATP Masters 1000 trophy missing from his collection.
If he succeeds in Rome, Sinner would join Djokovic as one of the few players to complete the prestigious Career Golden Masters.
French Open Favourite?
With the French Open approaching, Sinner’s incredible form has made him one of the strongest contenders for another Grand Slam title.
His consistency, physical fitness, and confidence across surfaces have separated him from the rest of the ATP field this season. Many experts now believe the Italian star is entering the peak phase of his career.
