Everton thrash Chelsea 3-0 to boost European hopes in Premier League

Liverpool: Everton produced a commanding performance to defeat Chelsea 3-0 at the Hill Dickinson Stadium in Liverpool, strengthening their push for European qualification in the Premier League.

Premier League side Everton delivered a commanding performance to defeat Chelsea, piling further misery on the visitors and strengthening their push for a European qualification spot.

Chelsea’s struggles continued as they slumped to another disappointing defeat, with Everton taking control early and never allowing the London side to settle into the contest. The hosts looked sharper in midfield, created the better chances, and capitalised clinically in front of goal.

Everton opened the scoring in the first half after sustained pressure, exposing gaps in Chelsea’s defence. The home side doubled their advantage after the break with a well-worked attacking move, leaving Chelsea chasing the game.

Any hopes of a comeback were extinguished when Everton added a third goal, sealing a comprehensive victory.

Chelsea, meanwhile, endured a frustrating outing with limited attacking threat and defensive lapses proving costly. The defeat marked their fourth consecutive loss across all competitions, raising further concerns over their form during the crucial closing phase of the season.

The win keeps Everton firmly in the hunt for European football next season, while Chelsea’s top-four ambitions suffered another major setback.
