The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the match officials appointed for the Super Eight stage of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. The second phase of the tournament is set to feature the top eight teams battling for a place in the semi-finals, with a highly experienced panel of umpires and referees entrusted with overseeing the matches.
A total of 16 umpires and four match referees have been selected, bringing together some of the most respected names in international cricket officiating.
Experienced Umpires To Lead On-Field Duties
Among the prominent officials appointed are Rodney Tucker and Paul Reiffel, who will stand in key Super Eight fixtures. They are joined by a strong lineup that includes Allahudien Paleker, Sam Nogajski, Nitin Menon, and Adrian Holdstock.
The officiating panel also features Ahsan Raza, Asif Yaqoob, Richard Kettleborough, Chris Gaffaney, Alex Wharf, Chris Brown, Richard Illingworth, Jayaraman Madanagopal, Shahid Saikat, and Kumar Dharmasena.
The mix of Elite Panel and International Panel umpires reflects the ICC’s focus on maintaining high standards of decision-making during the decisive stage of the tournament.
Match Referees Appointed For Super Eight
The four match referees named for the Super Eight are Ranjan Madugalle, Andrew Pycroft, Richie Richardson, and Javagal Srinath.
They will be responsible for overseeing playing conditions, ensuring adherence to the ICC Code of Conduct, and maintaining the smooth running of matches throughout the Super Eight stage.
