OCA Prepares for 1st T20I Match Between India and South Africa at Barabati Stadium

The Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) held a crucial preparatory meeting on Friday to review the arrangements for the upcoming 1st T20 International match between India and South Africa, scheduled for December 9 at Barabati Stadium, Cuttack.

The meeting, presided over by Pankaj Lochan Mohanty, President of the OCA, and conducted under the leadership of Secretary Sanjay Behera, focused on ensuring that the event meets the highest standards of international cricket.

The meeting saw representatives from various sub-committees, each tasked with overseeing different aspects of the event, including security, hospitality, medical services, transportation, accreditation, and match-day logistics.

Sanjay Behera emphasized the importance of seamless coordination and strict adherence to BCCI protocols to ensure the smooth conduct of the match.

“Multiple Integrated Control Rooms will be established to oversee various critical operations, including security, power supply, floodlight operations, net practice arrangements, and more,” said Behera. He highlighted that these efforts are aimed at providing both the players and the spectators with a safe, well-coordinated, and enjoyable experience.

The OCA reaffirmed its commitment to delivering a top-tier international fixture, with every committee member tasked with executing their responsibilities promptly and efficiently. “We are working diligently to ensure that the match is conducted without any hitches and in accordance with the world-class standards expected from a BCCI event,” Behera added.

As excitement builds in Cuttack for the clash between India and South Africa, fans can look forward to a well-organized and memorable cricketing experience, with the OCA leaving no stone unturned in their preparations.
