Bhubaneswar : Ludhiana’s young table tennis talent, Naman Mehra, emerged victorious in the men’s singles category at the recently concluded 65th Punjab State Ranking Table Tennis Tournament held at Jalandhar from December 5 to 9. Naman defeated Mohali’s Harkunwar Singh in a straight 4-set final, showcasing his skill and composure with scores of 11-8, 11-9, 11-9, 11-9.
The tournament saw vibrant competition across multiple age groups, with Ludhiana players shining throughout. Naman had earlier secured a semifinal victory over Jalandhar’s Sankalp, while his final opponent Harkunwar overcame Advik Puri of Amritsar to reach the decider.
Ludhiana’s strong presence extended beyond the men’s singles, as city players collectively clinched 11 medals, including titles in the U-17 and U-11 categories.
