ISSUE 18 | SEPTEMBER EDITION

Dear Readers,

As we bring you the 18th edition of Sport Science India Fanzine, let me take the readers to the times when our product was born overcoming hurdles and out of passion. Being a medical professional, it was my first attempt at venturing into the business of publishing. Execution challenges were a plenty, resources were scanty but the zeal and passion were filled to the brim. And, when you have the flame of passion burning, even the darkest tunnel is lit up with hope and success follows. From a few candid conversations over coffee to Fanzine making its presence felt at coveted conferences and sports tournaments, everything fell in line eventually! Thus, we value passion and passionate sportspersons are our ‘real heroes.’ As a tribute, we yet again bring you the passionate tale of struggle and success of a South African hockey player. The spotlight is on his difficult journey to success. Well, that’s not all! If you have the passion to take the plunge, we bring you everything about freediving in our article titled “A deep breath, a dive into beauty.’ The article has expert tips and observations by the writer, who is himself a veteran scuba instructor in India. We also take you to the passionate achievements made by the athletes in the World Athletics Championship, recently held in Budapest. To wrap up, we have our scientific articles to heal your injuries, so that the passion never fades. Let, no pain hinder your journey fueled by, ‘our dear, passion’! Hope you have a happy and fruitful reading time.
