Sachin Suresh Joins Odisha FC on Two-Year Contract

Sachin Suresh has completed his move from Kerala Blasters to Odisha FC, with the goalkeeper signing a two-year contract with the Indian Super League club.

Odisha FC confirmed the signing on September 9, adding another Indian goalkeeper to their squad ahead of the 2026-27 campaign. The move brings an end to Suresh’s association with Kerala Blasters, where he developed through the club’s system and established himself as an important part of their goalkeeping group.

The 25-year-old goalkeeper joins Odisha after several seasons with Kerala Blasters and will now begin a new chapter of his ISL career in Odisha.

Sachin Suresh Leaves Kerala Blasters After Five Years

Suresh joined Kerala Blasters in 2021 after progressing through the club’s reserve setup. He had initially signed for the Blasters ahead of the 2021-22 season and later earned opportunities with the senior side.

Kerala Blasters had extended his contract in July 2023, keeping him at the club until 2026. At the time, the club highlighted his development, consistency and potential after he had come through its youth pathway.

The goalkeeper also represented India at youth level, including the U-17 and U-20 teams. His development at Kerala Blasters eventually led to a more prominent role with the senior team.

Sachin Suresh’s ISL Experience

Suresh has built valuable experience in the ISL during his time with Kerala Blasters.

His strongest statistical season came in 2024-25, when he made 16 appearances, played 1,440 minutes, recorded four clean sheets and made 42 saves, according to the ISL’s player profile. He also faced 178 shots and conceded 23 goals during that campaign.

Those numbers underline the experience Suresh has gained at the top level of Indian club football and explain why Odisha FC have opted to bring him into their squad.

Odisha FC Strengthen Their Goalkeeping Department

The arrival of Suresh adds further competition to Odisha FC’s goalkeeping department ahead of the new season.

Odisha’s 2026-27 squad already includes Indian goalkeepers such as Manas Dubey and Hrithik Tiwari. Suresh’s arrival gives the club another goalkeeper with considerable ISL experience.

Odisha have also been active in the transfer market, with the club adding several players as it prepares for the upcoming campaign. The signing of Suresh is another move aimed at strengthening the squad with Indian talent.

A New Chapter for Sachin Suresh

For Suresh, the move represents an opportunity to restart his career at a new ISL club after spending much of his professional development with Kerala Blasters.

He joined the Blasters’ system as a young goalkeeper and progressed from the reserve side to the senior squad. His journey has included periods of regular first-team involvement as well as injury setbacks, but he has continued to remain part of the Indian football conversation.

Now at Odisha FC, Suresh will be looking to establish himself in a new environment and compete for the starting goalkeeper’s position.

The two-year agreement provides Suresh with stability as he begins his Odisha FC career.

For Odisha, the signing adds an experienced Indian goalkeeper to their squad. For Suresh, it offers the chance to take on a fresh challenge and potentially play a bigger role in another ISL setup.

With the 2026-27 season approaching, attention will now turn to how Odisha FC use their new goalkeeper and whether Suresh can make the No. 1 position his own.
