Defending Big Sky Conference champions Northern Arizona have unveiled their 2026 women’s volleyball schedule, with the Lumberjacks set to face a demanding non-conference slate before beginning their quest for a second straight league title.
Coming off a stellar 2025 campaign in which they finished 23-7 overall and 13-3 in conference play, the Lumberjacks will open their new season from August 28-30 at the Ole Miss Invitational in Mississippi. Northern Arizona will take on Southeastern Louisiana, hosts Ole Miss, and LMU in its opening tournament before returning home for another strong weekend of competition.
Busy Non-Conference Schedule
The Lumberjacks will then host the Mountain View Classic in Flagstaff, welcoming UC San Diego, North Dakota, and Utah Valley. The non-conference campaign also features road trips to tournaments hosted by Arizona and Grand Canyon, giving the defending champions valuable tests ahead of league play.
Big Sky Title Defence Begins in September
Northern Arizona opens its Big Sky Conference campaign on September 24, with conference action stretching through November. The Lumberjacks will once again face every league opponent home and away as they aim to retain the regular-season crown.
The team will also enjoy home-court advantage at the Big Sky Volleyball Championship, scheduled for November 23-25 in Flagstaff after earning hosting rights by winning last season’s regular-season title.
High Expectations After Breakthrough Season
Northern Arizona enters the 2026 season with confidence after dominating at home in 2025, finishing unbeaten at Rolle Activity Center while avoiding a straight-set defeat all year. With another balanced schedule and the conference tournament on home soil, the Lumberjacks will be aiming to build on last season’s success and make a deeper run in the NCAA postseason.
