World No. 2 Jannik Sinner delivered a historic performance at the Miami Open, breaking Novak Djokovic’s record for the most consecutive sets won at ATP Masters 1000 events.
Sinner cruised past Corentin Moutet 6-1, 6-4 in the third round, taking his streak to 26 consecutive sets, surpassing Djokovic’s previous mark of 24 set in 2016.
The Italian had already equalled the Serbian legend’s record with a 6-3, 6-3 win over Damir Džumhur earlier in the tournament, before going on to claim the record outright in Miami.
Sinner’s incredible run has been built on sheer dominance—he won back-to-back Masters 1000 titles in Paris and Indian Wells without dropping a single set, highlighting his consistency and control on hard courts.
Reflecting on his achievement, Sinner kept things grounded: “Records are nice, but the focus is on improving every match,” he said, emphasizing his hunger for bigger goals.
With 26 straight sets and counting, Sinner now sits alone at the top of Masters 1000 history, ahead of greats like Djokovic, and is firmly establishing himself as the man to beat on the ATP Tour.
