New Zealand Dominate West Indies, Win Third Test by 323 Runs to Seal Series 2-0

New Zealand completed a dominant Test series triumph, crushing the West Indies by 323 runs in the third Test to seal the three-match series 2-0, following a draw in the opening Test and a nine-wicket win in the second.

The hosts laid the foundation for the series-clinching victory with a mammoth first-innings total of 575, built around a monumental 323-run opening partnership between Devon Conway and Tom Latham. Conway was in sublime form, smashing a commanding double century, while Latham added a fluent hundred as New Zealand batted the West Indies out of the contest over the first two days.

In reply, the West Indies showed admirable resistance, led by Kavem Hodge’s gritty 123, helping them post 420.

New Zealand then rammed home their advantage in the second innings, with Conway and Latham once again striking centuries, effectively batting the West Indies out of the game and setting up a daunting target.

In the final innings, Brandon King was the lone bright spot for the West Indies, battling hard for a resolute 67. His resistance briefly delayed the inevitable, but once the partnership was broken, wickets fell rapidly as New Zealand wrapped up the innings efficiently. New Zealand’s bowlers kept the pressure firmly on. Jacob Duffy delivered a match-defining spell, ripping through the batting order with 5 for 42, while Ajaz Patel chipped in with three wickets

The emphatic win sealed a 323-run victory in the third Test and confirmed New Zealand’s 2-0 series triumph. Devon Conway was named Player of the Match for his outstanding double century in the first innings and a century in the second, while Jacob Duffy claimed Player of the Series honours after finishing with an impressive 23 wickets, capping a thoroughly dominant performance by the hosts.
