Arsenal have taken a massive step toward the Premier League title with a resounding 4-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby. Matchday 12 of the Premier League 2025-26 season at the Emirates Stadium was spearheaded by an incredible hat-trick from Eberechi Eze and a goal from Leandro Trossard.
Eze, who joined Arsenal from Crystal Palace in August, was instrumental in the team’s victory. He scored three brilliant goals after Trossard opened the scoring with a well-placed shot into the bottom corner. Despite Richarlison’s long-range lob for Spurs, Eze’s third goal sealed the match.

The result gives Arsenal a six-point lead at the top of the table, with Chelsea their closest rivals. Arsenal have collected 29 points from 12 matches, winning as many as 9 games (D2 L1). Chelsea are 2nd with 23 points and are place above Manchester City (22 points). Aston Villa (21 points) occupy the 4th place.
Spurs have dropped to 9th, suffering their 4th defeat this season.

- Eze scored the fourth ever hat-trick in competitive meetings between Arsenal and Spurs, after Ted Drake (Arsenal, October 1934), Terry Dyson (Spurs, August 1961) and Alan Sunderland (Arsenal, December 1978).
- Eze scored the 400th hat-trick in Premier League history. He’s the 23rd player to score one for Arsenal with no side having more different hat-trick scorers in the competition.
- Eze is now the first Englishman to score in his first North London derby in the league for Arsenal since Ian Wright and Kevin Campbell in 1991.
