Sikandar Raza entered history books as he completed 100 wickets in T20Is. The star Zimbabwe all-rounder is now the 2nd player from his nation to pick 100-plus T20I wickets. Raza attained the mark with his only wicket versus Sri Lanka in the 2nd game of the T20I Tri-series 2025 in Rawalpindi. Raza picked 1/23 from his 4 overs as Zimbabwe defeated Sri Lanka by 67 runs.

What happened in the match?

Zimbabwe bounced back from their opening match defeat to Pakistan by defeating Sri Lanka in the second game of the men’s T20I tri-series in Rawalpindi. Batting first, Zimbabwe posted a total of 162 runs, with Brian Bennett and Raza leading the charge. Bennett scored 49 while Raza contributed with an impressive 47 off just 32 balls.

Wanindu Hasaranga was Sri Lanka’s best bowler with figures of 3/32 while Eshan Malinga also impressed on debut with figures of 2/27.

Sri Lanka then faltered with the bat, managing 95/10 in 20 overs. Brad Evans picked three wickets for 9 runs. Richard Ngarava picked two wickets.

Raza gets to 100 T20I wickets

As mentioned, Raza claimed 1/23 from his 4 overs to clock a solid spell. As per ESPNcricinfo, in 125 T20I matches, Raza owns a tally of 100 scalps from 111 innings at an average of 22.83. His economy rate reads 6.75. The spin sensation has bagged 2 four-fers and a fifer. His best figures read 5/18.

Richard Ngarava is the only other Zimbabwe bowler with 100-plus T20I wickets

Raza joined Ngarava as the 2nd Zimbabwe bowler with 100-plus wickets in T20Is for Zimbabwe. Pacer Ngarava, who managed 2/15 from his 4 overs in this contest, owns a tally of 107 wickets from 88 matches (86 innings). Ngarava averages 20.85 and owns an economy rate of 7.22. He has two four-fers under his belt.
