Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s Blazing Century Lights Up Rising Stars Asia Cup

14-year-old prodigy smashes 32-ball hundred as India A crush UAE in Doha

Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s Blazing Century Lights Up Rising Stars Asia Cup

In a performance that will be remembered for years, teenage sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi produced a jaw-dropping century to propel India A to a commanding win over UAE in the Rising Stars Asia Cup 2025 in Doha. The 14-year-old opener unleashed one of the most destructive T20 innings ever played at the junior international level, smashing 144 off just 42 balls, a knock that combined raw power, precision, and fearless intent.

A Storm Named Suryavanshi

From the first over, Suryavanshi signaled he wasn’t out to merely survive — he was out to dominate. His intent was crystal clear: attack everything in his zone. Within minutes, India A had raced ahead, and UAE’s bowlers had no answers.

50 in 17 balls

100 in 32 balls (one of the fastest by any Indian at this level)

11 fours and 15 sixes

Strike rate well above 300

The ball flew to every corner of the stadium as Suryavanshi mixed clean lofted drives with brute-force slog hits. Every over turned into a highlight reel — especially the seventh, which disappeared for 27 runs.

A Partnership That Crushed UAE

Suryavanshi found the perfect partner in Naman Dhir, and together they stitched a devastating 163-run stand in only 57 balls. Dhir rotated the strike smartly and let the young star keep the fireworks going, a partnership that destroyed UAE’s hopes early.

By the time Suryavanshi fell attempting another boundary, India A had already rocketed toward a total that looked more like ODI numbers than T20.

India A Post Mammoth Total

Powered almost single-handedly by Suryavanshi’s brilliance, India A finished at a towering 297/4 in 20 overs — the kind of total rarely seen at this level. UAE’s bowlers tried variations, slower balls, yorkers, wide lines — nothing worked.

The enormous score proved more than enough as India A cruised through the second innings to clinch a statement victory.

A Star Emerges on the Big Stage

This innings wasn’t just about numbers — it was about arrival. Suryavanshi, already attracting attention from senior players and coaches, showed that he’s not merely a prodigy but a player built for big occasions.

At 14, to produce such a calculated yet explosive knock on an Asia Cup stage speaks volumes about his temperament and potential. Cricket circles across the continent immediately lit up with excitement about the young Indian batter being “the next big thing.”

Setting the Tone for the Tournament

India A’s performance sends a loud message to the other competing nations:
This team is here to dominate.

And at the heart of that message is Vaibhav Suryavanshi — a teenager who played like a seasoned international.

As the Rising Stars Asia Cup progresses, all eyes will remain glued to India A’s batting spearhead. If this innings is any indication, the tournament may have just met its biggest headline-maker.

Until the time this story was uploaded, UAE were struggling in their chase with half their side gone, reaching 119 for 5 and facing mounting pressure against India A’s massive total.
