New Delhi: The Archery Premier League (APL) returned to high-voltage action at New Delhi’s Yamuna Sports Complex after Tuesday’s washout — and it was a day of double clashes, intense rivalries, and defining moments. By the end of the day’s play, the unstoppable Rajputana Royals had extended their winning streak to seven matches, sealing a spot in the semifinals, while the Kakatiya Knights suffered yet another blow, losing their sixth game and virtually bowing out of contention.

Rajputana Royals Continue Royal Run

The afternoon session opened with the Chero Archers setting the tone, defeating the Mighty Marathas 5–1. Next up, the Royals took on the Chola Chiefs in a highly anticipated encounter.
With star archer Ojas Deotale back in the lineup, the Royals displayed trademark dominance, overpowering the Chiefs 6–2 across four sets. Their precision and composure under pressure once again underscored why they are the team to beat this season.

Knights’ Struggles Deepen

The Kakatiya Knights’ poor run continued as they succumbed 1–5 to the Prithviraaj Yodhas in the afternoon clash. Later in the evening, things went from bad to worse for the Knights, who faced the rampant Royals again — and were handed another 1–5 drubbing, marking their sixth loss in seven games. The defeat effectively ended their hopes of reaching the semifinals.

Double Headers Light Up the Evening

As the skies cleared and the capital enjoyed perfect conditions for archery, the fans witnessed thrilling evening duels. The Chola Chiefs bounced back strongly, with veterans Brady Ellison and Deepika Kumari delivering when it mattered most to secure a 6–2 victory over the Chero Archers.
The day concluded with a nail-biter as the Mighty Marathas edged out the Prithviraj Yodhas 5–3 after entering the fourth set tied 3–3 — a win that may well prove decisive in the semifinal race.

Points Table: Royals Reign Supreme

After Wednesday’s double-header drama, the standings paint a clear picture:

Rajputana Royals lead with a perfect 14 points from seven matches and a remarkable set win/loss difference of +29.

Mighty Marathas sit comfortably in second with 10 points from five wins.

Chola Chiefs and Prithviraj Yodhas share six points each, with the Chiefs edging third place on a better set difference (-2) compared to the Yodhas (-10).

Chero Archers are fifth with two wins, while the Kakatiya Knights languish at the bottom, all but out of the playoff race.

The Royals’ Road Ahead

With their semifinal berth secured, the Royals are not just the team to watch — they’re the team to beat. Meanwhile, for the struggling Knights, pride and redemption will be the only goals left as the tournament nears its knockout stage.
