India’s young shooting stars once again showcased their class on the world stage as Shiva Narwal and Yug Pratap Rathore secured silver and bronze respectively in the men’s 10m air pistol event at the ISSF Junior World Championship 2026 in Suhl, Germany.

The twin podium finish added another memorable chapter to India’s impressive campaign at the championship, underlining the country’s growing dominance in junior shooting competitions. Competing against some of the best emerging talents from across the globe, both shooters displayed remarkable consistency and composure in a high-pressure final.

Shiva Narwal, already regarded as one of India’s most promising pistol shooters, delivered another strong performance to finish second and bring home the silver medal. The result continues his outstanding 2026 season, having earlier won gold in the same event at the ISSF Junior World Cup in Cairo. Narwal’s ability to remain calm during the decisive stages once again proved crucial as he secured a place on the podium.

Yug Pratap Rathore also impressed throughout the competition and ensured India celebrated a double medal finish by clinching the bronze medal. His performance reflected the depth of talent emerging from India’s junior shooting programme and highlighted the country’s strength in pistol events.
