Aaron Rai climbed to the top of the leaderboard at the Myrtle Beach Classic after carding an impressive 4-under 67 in the second round.
Rai showcased remarkable consistency during his round, especially on the back nine where he picked up four crucial birdies to gain a slender one-shot advantage over experienced campaigners Brandt Snedeker and Mark Hubbard.
The Englishman looked calm and in control throughout the day, handling difficult pin positions and changing conditions with maturity. Rai, who already owns a PGA Tour title, has continued to build momentum ahead of next week’s PGA Championship.
The tournament remains closely contested, with several players still firmly in the hunt heading into the weekend rounds. Rai, however, appears confident and comfortable on the Myrtle Beach course, where precision and patience have proven vital.
Golf fans will now watch closely to see whether Rai can maintain his lead and secure another major PGA Tour triumph.
