Justin Rose believes his recent PGA Tour success has justified his decision to reject lucrative offers from LIV Golf, as he continues an impressive late-career resurgence, according to BBC Sport. The Englishman, who recently clinched his 13th PGA Tour title at Torrey Pines, said remaining on the PGA and European Tours has allowed him to stay competitive at the highest level.
Since turning down LIV Golf in 2022, Rose has won three PGA Tour events, climbed to world number three, finished runner-up at The Open Championship, and narrowly missed a Masters title after losing a play-off to Rory McIlroy.
“My career goals have only been achievable by staying on the European Tour and the PGA Tour,” Rose was quoted as saying, stressing that access to major championships and elite competition played a key role in his decision (BBC Sport).
The former US Open champion added that chasing legacy and major titles has always outweighed financial temptation, calling his recent performances a strong validation of his choice.
As Rose continues to challenge golf’s biggest names, his career resurgence stands as a powerful statement on prioritising ambition, legacy, and competition over money.
