Ruthless Manchester United Crush Wolves 4–1 at Molineux

Captain Bruno Fernandes inspires a dominant United display with a brilliant brace at Molineux

Ruthless Manchester United Crush Wolves 4–1 at Molineux

Manchester United delivered a commanding away performance to dismantle Wolverhampton Wanderers 4–1, easing pressure on manager Ruben Amorim and lifting the Red Devils to sixth place in the Premier League standings. Captain Bruno Fernandes was the star of the night, leading from the front with a superb brace.

United dominated large spells of the contest and showcased a level of attacking fluidity that has been missing in recent weeks. Wolves battled hard but were ultimately outclassed, with the home fans leaving frustrated as their side sank deeper into relegation danger.

Key Moments

25′ — Bruno Breaks the Deadlock

A defensive mix-up presented United their opportunity. Returning former Wolves forward Matheus Cunha capitalised on loose play to tee up Bruno Fernandes, who managed to steer the ball in while slipping — a scruffy finish, but one that gave United control.

45+2′ — Bellegarde Levels Dramatically

Just as United looked set to take a lead into the break, Wolves struck back. Jean-Ricner Bellegarde met a deep cross with a sharp volley, ending the club’s extended drought in front of goal and lifting the home crowd into belief.

51′ — Rapid Response: Mbeumo Makes It 2–1

United returned from the interval with purpose. A lightning counter-attack led by Diogo Dalot ended with a selfless square pass for Bryan Mbeumo, who tapped home into an empty net to restore the advantage.

62′ — Mount’s Stunning Finish

The pick of the goals came courtesy of Mason Mount. Fernandes floated an exquisite chipped ball over the Wolves back line, and Mount met it perfectly with a composed first-time volley — a moment of pure class.

82′ — Fernandes Completes the Rout

After a VAR review penalised Yerson Mosquera for handball following a strike from Amad Diallo, Fernandes calmly dispatched the resulting spot-kick low into the corner to seal the emphatic victory.

Tactical & Performance Analysis

United’s second-half display demonstrated renewed sharpness and cohesion, particularly in transitions. Fernandes orchestrated play magnificently, while Mount and Mbeumo offered energy and precision up front.

Wolves, meanwhile, showed spirit in flashes but were undone repeatedly by defensive lapses and lack of structure. With pressure mounting and results deteriorating, concerns among supporters are intensifying as the club sits firmly at the bottom of the table.

Final Verdict

A dominant and morale-boosting win for Manchester United, who will hope this performance sparks consistency. Wolves face a long road ahead if they are to avoid a relegation battle.
