“Vision to Take SSI Nat’l”: Prabodh Mohanty’s Message at the Valedictory of SSI Sports Awards & Conclave

The SSI Sports Awards & Sports Science Conclave 2025 concluded on an inspiring note with an impactful valedictory address by Mr. Prabodh Mohanty, Managing Director of SNM Group, the co-sponsor of the prestigious event organised by Sports Science India. His words reflected gratitude, vision, and a clear roadmap for the national expansion of the movement.

A Warm Expression of Gratitude

Beginning his address on a heartfelt note, Mr. Mohanty said:

“Thank you my brother Sarthak. Thank you all sports scientists, players, ladies and gentlemen.”

He expressed his regret at missing the opening ceremony and the awards function due to a personal commitment in Pune, where he had attended his nephew’s wedding. Despite his absence at the opening, he reaffirmed his deep emotional and professional association with the SSI platform.

A Long-Standing Bond with Sports Science India

Mr. Mohanty highlighted that his association with Dr. Sarthak Mohanty and Sports Science India spans several years, built on a shared vision to uplift Indian sports through science, discipline, and structured development.

He acknowledged the rare sporting ecosystem built in Odisha, stating that it is exceptional for so many national-level athletes to emerge from a single region — a fact now being recognized even by the state government.

From Odisha to the National Stage

One of the most defining moments of his speech was the announcement of SSI’s national ambition.

Mr. Mohanty revealed that:

• Plans are underway to take the SSI platform to the national level

• Delhi is being actively considered as a future host city

• The goal is to transform SSI into a pan-India sports science and performance movement

“This is rare. So many Indian national players rising from one place — it deserves a national platform,” he said.

Commitment to the Future: SNM Group’s Continued Support

Reaffirming SNM Group’s commitment, Mr. Mohanty announced that:

• Mohanty Group will continue its association with SSI

• The group will actively support the mission to:

• Expand the event nationally

• Elevate it to international standards

• Build it into a world-class sports science platform

“With all your support — participants, speakers, and organisers — we will take this forward and make it a world-class event,” he stated.

A Vision Fueled by Collective Strength

Mr. Mohanty concluded his address with optimism and unity, underlining that the future of SSI rests on the collective strength of sports scientists, athletes, organisers, and institutions.

His message perfectly captured the spirit of SSI Sports Awards & Sports Science Conclave 2025 — a platform no longer confined to a region, but one clearly preparing to step onto the national and global sporting stage.
