Bhubaneswar: In a thrilling encounter at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad, the Mumbai Meteors secured a 3–1 victory over the Bengaluru Torpedoes in their final league match of the 2025 Prime Volleyball League (PVL) season. The set scores were 15–13, 15–13, 18–20, and 15–10, propelling the Meteors to the top of the league standings. Shubham Chaudhary was named the Player of the Match for his exceptional performance.

Both teams had already qualified for the semifinals prior to this match, making it a crucial opportunity to build momentum heading into the knockout stage. The Meteors’ victory solidified their position at the top of the table, while the Torpedoes, despite the loss, remained in second place.

Looking ahead, the Mumbai Meteors will face the team that finishes fourth in the first semifinal on Friday, October 24, 2025. Meanwhile, the Bengaluru Torpedoes will take on the third-placed Ahmedabad Defenders in the second semifinal on the same day.

As the league progresses into the semifinals, both teams will aim to carry forward their strong performances and vie for a spot in the final.
