Bhubaneswar: 18-year-old Indian armless archer Sheetal Devi created history at the 2025 Para World Archery Championship in Gwangju by winning the gold medal in the women’s compound individual event. In a nail-biting final, she edged out Turkiye’s world No. 1 Oznur Cure Girdi by 146-143, overturning a previous defeat from 2023.
