Mexico’s Emilio Gonzalez produced a sensational final round to lift the Albertsons Boise Open title on the Korn Ferry Tour, while India’s Rayhan Thomas finished tied 58th after a mixed week on the course.
Gonzalez shoots 10-under masterclass
Gonzalez dazzled with a 10-under-par final round that featured two eagles, seven birdies and just one bogey. His brilliant effort took him to 22-under overall, edging past Jeffrey Kang, who closed at 21-under. The win not only gave Gonzalez the trophy but also secured him a PGA Tour card, underlining his rapid rise in the professional ranks.
Thomas fades after a bright start
Thomas began the week strongly with a superb opening 65, but could not maintain the momentum. He followed it up with rounds of 70, 69 and 72 to finish at eight-under for the tournament. The final day summed up his uneven week, with five birdies offset by four bogeys and a costly double bogey.
Suri inside top-10, Yellamaraju misses cut
Among other players with Indian roots, Indo-American Julian Suri finished tied seventh after a consistent showing, while Indo-Canadian Sudarshan Yellamaraju failed to make the weekend cut.
