Asian Shooting Championships 2025: All You Need to Know About India’s Challenge

Shymkent, Kazakhstan – The 16th edition of the Asian Shooting Championships is set to commence in Shymkent, Kazakhstan, running from August 16 to 30. India is sending a robust contingent, headlined by Manu Bhaker, a double medallist at the recent Paris Olympics. However, Olympic medallists Sarabjot Singh and Swapnil Kusale will not be participating in this continental showpiece.

While preliminary and qualification rounds are slated to begin on Saturday, August 16, the finals across various disciplines will kick off on August 18.

Indian Squads at a Glance

India’s formidable team features a mix of seasoned Olympians, World Cup medallists, and promising talents across Rifle, Pistol, and Shotgun events:

Men’s Senior Squad:

  • Air Rifle: Rudrankksh B. Patil, Arjun Babuta, Kiran Ankush Jadhav
  • 50m Rifle 3P: Chain Singh, Akhil Sheoran, Aishwary Pratap Tomar
  • Air Pistol: Saurabh Chaudhary, Aditya Malra, Anmol Jain
  • 25m Rapid Fire Pistol: Anish, Neeraj Kumar, Adarsh Singh
  • Trap: Lakshay, Kynan Darius Chenai, Bhowneesh Mendiratta
  • Skeet: Abhay Singh Sekhon, Bhavtegh Singh Gill, Anantjeet Singh Naruka

Women’s Senior Squad:

  • Air Rifle: Mehuli Ghosh, Elavenil Valarivan, Ananya Naidu
  • 50m Rifle 3P: Sift Kaur Samra, Ashi Chouksey, Anjum Moudgil
  • Air Pistol: Suruchi, Palak, Manu Bhaker
  • 25m Sports Pistol: Manu Bhaker, Simranpreet Kaur Brar, Esha Singh
  • Trap: Neeru, Aashima Ahlawat, Preeti Rajak
  • Skeet: Ganemat Sekhon, Raiza Dhillon, Maheshwari Chauhan

Mixed Team Events:

  • Air Rifle Mixed Team: Rudrankksh B. Patil & Mehuli Ghosh, Arjun Babuta & Elavenil Valarivan
  • Air Pistol Mixed Team: Saurabh Chaudhary & Suruchi, Aditya Malra & Palak
  • Trap Mixed Team: Lakshay & Neeru, Kynan Darius Chenai & Aashima Ahlawat
  • Skeet Mixed Team: Abhay Singh Sekhon & Ganemat Sekhon, Bhavtegh Singh Gill & Raiza Dhillon

  • August 19: 10m Air Pistol Women
  • August 20: 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team; Skeet Women; Skeet Men
  • August 21: 10m Air Rifle Men
  • August 22: 10m Air Rifle Women; Skeet Mixed Team
  • August 23: 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team
  • August 24: 50m Rifle 3 Positions Men
  • August 25: 25m Pistol Women; Trap Women; Trap Men
  • August 26: 50m Rifle 3 Positions Women

Live Streaming Information

For shooting enthusiasts following from afar, live streaming of the finals only will be available on the ISSF YouTube channel. It’s important to note that the event will not be telecast on any traditional television channels in India.
