Bhubaneswar : Rishabh Yadav and Jyothi Surekha Vennam set a new compound mixed team world record at the 2025 Archery World Cup in Madrid by scoring 1431 points with 70 Xs in the qualification round. This surpassed the previous record of 1429, held by Denmark’s Tanja Gellenthien and Mathias Fullerton since the 2023 European Games in Krakow-Malopolska.
Rishabh Yadav topped the men’s qualification with a personal best of 716 points (68 out of 72 arrows in the 10-ring, 35 Xs).
Jyothi Surekha Vennam led the women’s qualification with 715 points (35 Xs), also a personal best.
Both archers secured top seedings in their respective individual and team events. The achievement is especially significant as the compound mixed team event will debut at the Olympics in Los Angeles 2028
