Marc Marquez bounced back from a shaky start to clinch his seventh sprint win of the season at the Aragon Grand Prix on Saturday, leading an all-Spanish podium ahead of his brother Alex Marquez and Gresini Racing’s Fermin Aldeguer.
Despite a pole-position start, Marc lost ground off the line due to wheelspin and briefly slipped to fourth after a nudge from Pedro Acosta. Alex took full advantage, grabbing the lead into Turn 1. But Marc quickly recovered, overtaking Alex by Lap 6 with a sharp move down the inside, drawing huge cheers from the home crowd.
From there, Marc pulled away, finishing over two seconds clear and extending his championship lead to 27 points. Alex held on to second, while Aldeguer overtook Franco Morbidelli late in the race to secure third.
Morbidelli settled for fourth, with Acosta edging out Fabio Di Giannantonio for fifth. Meanwhile, it was another frustrating outing for Francesco Bagnaia, who faded from P4 on the grid to finish a disappointing 12th.
